- 四柱saju
- It represents the four pillars of the year, month, day, and hour of birth as the heavenly stem and support, and is the basic framework of Eastern Myeongrikism, which reads innate temperament and the flow of luck.
- 八字palja
- The eight letters (4 Cheongan + 4 Jiji) that make up the four pillars of the fortune teller represent a person's innate destiny.
- 五行ohaeng
- The five energies of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water create and interact with each other, creating balance.
- 天干cheongan
- The ten letters of Gabeulbyeongjeongmugigyeongsinimge represent the energy of the sky and are located at the top of the keystone.
- 地支jiji
- It is composed of twelve characters, representing the energy of the earth and time (zodiac sign), and is located at the bottom of the keystone.
- 日干ilgan
- It is the heavenly scale of the day of birth and is the most important letter in fortune telling, symbolizing ‘myself’.
- 日柱ilju
- It is a pillar made up of the cheongan (daily) and jiji (diary) of the day of birth, and represents myself and my spouse.
